  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans (divided)
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly butter a 13x9 inch baking dish.

  2. Combine butter and brown sugar in heavy saucepan and bring to boil over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

  3. Stir in 2 cups pecans.

  4. Pour into baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.

  5. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. When chips have softened, spread evenly over toffee. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup pecans on top.

  6. Let cool completely and break into pieces.
