Toffee
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans (divided)
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly butter a 13x9 inch baking dish.
Combine butter and brown sugar in heavy saucepan and bring to boil over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Stir in 2 cups pecans.
Pour into baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.
Sprinkle with chocolate chips. When chips have softened, spread evenly over toffee. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup pecans on top.
Let cool completely and break into pieces.
